When I was visiting Johannesburg in August 2002, I was fortunate to pick up a copy of this stunning book by photographer, Craig Fraser. Shack Chic is a documentary of the homes of people living in Cape Town's shacklands, captured in natural light. It is about the dignity to be found in the dusty streets of South Africa's shack-lands.
